Meet the designer

 

Maria Figueiredo, communication designer, began her career in interior decoration and design in 2013 and founded her first brand in 2016, which rapidly gained international recognition.
She is a designer, but first, a deeply curious person, a student of the mind, of universal patterns, of the quiet mystery that connects all things. Her high sensibility brings to her work an unique and intuitive sense of aesthetic.

Passionate about travel, Maria also values the comfort of home. With Opala, she seeks to bring more color and joy into people’s homes, creating soulful, timeless pieces designed to enrich daily life with beauty and meaning. 

Her belief is simple, and backed by everything she has observed: our surroundings affects how we feel. And how we feel shapes everything else.
